Variable Refrigerant Volume System

A Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) System is a type of air conditioning system that allows for individualized control and efficient operation. The system uses multiple evaporators, each with its own thermostat, connected to a single outdoor condensing unit. This can allow the system to provide cooling or heating at different temperatures in different areas, so as to maintain comfort levels while minimizing energy use. VRV systems are also known as ‘variable refrigerant flow’, because the refrigerant flows through the indoor and outdoor components at variable speeds and capacities.
