What Building Management Systems (BMS) We Use
There are many different types of building management systems (BMS) on the market today. Some are more sophisticated than others, but all of them serve the same basic purpose: to help manage and control a building’s energy use.
The most common type of BMS is the centralised system, which uses a centralised controller to manage all of the building’s energy-consuming systems. This type of system is often used in large commercial buildings where there are a lot of different systems and devices that need to be controlled.
Another type of BMS is the distributed system, which uses a network of smaller controllers to manage the building’s energy-consuming systems. This type of system is often used in smaller buildings where it is not practical to have a centralised controller.
Building management systems can be used to control a wide range of systems and devices, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, lighting systems, security systems, fire alarm systems and more. By managing these systems using a BMS, it is possible to save energy and money while ensuring that the building remains comfortable and safe for occupants.
