Key Performance Area (KPA): A KPA is an important area of operations that must be monitored on a regular basis in order to ensure the optimal performance of any facilities management system. KPAs measure the effectiveness and efficiency of a facility’s staff, processes, and equipment, and can include such areas as maintenance, safety, customer service, security, and quality control. With KPAs, managers can identify weaknesses in their systems and take appropriate actions to improve their operations.
