Occupant Load

Occupant Load (noun): The number of people occupying a certain space at any given time, usually measured as a maximum occupancy rate. This measurement is important for the safety and comfort of occupants as well as for compliance with building codes and local regulations. Occupant load also helps facilities managers ensure that they have enough resources to meet the needs of those occupying the space, such as seating, ventilation, electrical supply, etc.
