Kilowatt (Kw)

A kilowatt (kW) is a unit of power in the International System of Units (SI). It is equal to one thousand watts, or one joule per second. The kilowatt is often used to express the electromagnetic power output of broadcast radio and television transmitters. One kilowatt (1kW) equals 1.34 horsepower.
