Automated Demand Response Programs

Automated Demand Response (ADR) programs are designed to reduce energy consumption during peak periods. These programs are designed to help reduce the amount of energy used during peak times, when electricity demand is highest. This helps to reduce the strain on the electricity grid, which can lead to lower electricity costs and improved reliability. ADR programs are usually triggered by a signal from the utility, such as a high temperature or high electricity demand. The signal triggers the ADR program to reduce energy consumption by adjusting the settings on the thermostat, dimming lights, or shutting off certain appliances. ADR programs can also be triggered by customers themselves, who can choose to reduce their energy consumption during peak times. By reducing energy consumption during peak times, customers can save money on their electricity bills and help to reduce the strain on the electricity grid.
