Bacnet Relay

Have you ever heard of Bacnet Relay? It’s a network protocol developed for the exchange of information between building automation and control systems. Put simply, it provides the means for different buildings and their components to communicate with one another in order to automate environmental control processes across multiple buildings and their integrated systems. But what is its official business definition? As it turns out, Bacnet Relay is defined as “a communications protocol that provides a standards-based method for sharing information between electronic devices, including computers and embedded controllers, used in monitoring and controlling building automation equipment, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.” In other words, it provides an efficient, reliable, and secure way of coordinating environmental control processes across multiple buildings and devices, making buildings smarter and more efficient than ever before.
