BIM

BIM

The term “BIM” stands for Building Information Modeling. BIM is a process that leverages computer technology to create a virtual model of a physical facility. The model includes the geometry of the building, along with data about the construction materials, systems, and components.

The benefits of BIM include improved coordination among design disciplines, better visualization of the project during the design process, and clash detection (the ability to identify and resolve conflicts between different systems before construction begins). Additionally, BIM can be used to generate as-built documentation and support facilities management after the project is complete.
