BMS Controls Glossary

Idle

The definition of an idle is someone who is not active or productive. It can refer to someone who is lazy and does not put in the effort to do anything meaningful. It can also refer to someone who is not working, either because they have been laid off or because they have chosen to take a break from work. In either case, an idle person is not actively engaged in any kind of meaningful activity. They may be daydreaming, watching television, or just sitting around doing nothing. An idle person may also be described as someone who is not contributing to society in any meaningful way. This could be due to a lack of motivation, resources, or skills. Whatever the reason, an idle person is not actively involved in anything that is productive or beneficial to society.
