What is the definition of a minisplit units? A minisplit unit is a type of air conditioning system that is used in homes, apartments, and other buildings. These units consist of two components: an outdoor condenser that houses the compressor and fan, and an indoor evaporator coil. The two are connected by a set of copper tubing and electrical wiring. A minisplit unit works by taking in hot air from the indoor space, cooling it in the evaporator coil, and then releasing it back into the room.
