Package Heating And Cooling Units

What is the definition of a package heating and cooling unit? A package heating and cooling unit is a single unit designed to provide both heating and cooling for a space. It is usually placed outside the building and contains a single compressor, condenser, evaporator, and other components that allow it to efficiently heat and cool the space. The unit is most commonly used in residential applications, as it is relatively self-contained and easy to install. It typically takes up less space than traditional split system units, which require two separate units, one for heating and one for cooling. A package heating and cooling unit can be either electric or gas powered, and usually comes with a thermostat, so that the user can control the temperature of the space. The unit can be sized to match the space’s heating and cooling needs, and is often quieter than traditional split system units. Package heating and cooling units are an efficient and cost-effective way to heat and cool a space.
