Planned Preventive Maintenance

Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) is a system of scheduled maintenance activities designed to keep equipment and machinery running at peak performance. It is a proactive approach to maintenance, as opposed to reactive maintenance, which only takes place when a problem arises. PPM is an important part of any maintenance program, as it helps to prevent costly breakdowns and unexpected downtime. The goal of PPM is to identify potential problems before they become major issues, allowing for quick and effective repair or replacement of parts. This helps to reduce the overall cost of maintenance and ensures that equipment and machinery are always running at their best. PPM also helps to extend the life of equipment and machinery, reducing the need for costly replacements. In addition, it helps to improve safety in the workplace, as well as reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.
