Rtu Unit

A Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) is a type of industrial control system used to monitor and control remote devices. It is a combination of hardware and software that enables a single system to communicate with multiple devices located in different places. RTUs are used in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, water and wastewater, power, and transportation. They are used to monitor and control processes, such as temperature, pressure, flow, and other variables. RTUs are also used to collect data from remote locations and send it back to a central location for analysis. RTUs are typically connected to a local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) and use a variety of communication protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet. RTUs are designed to be reliable and robust, and they can be used in harsh environments, such as extreme temperatures and high vibration. RTUs are a cost-effective way to monitor and control processes in remote locations, and they can be used to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
