Sil 2
The Safety Integrity Level (SIL) is a standard used to measure the safety of a system or process. It is an internationally recognized measure of safety performance and is used to assess the risk of a system or process. SIL is used to identify the level of safety that must be achieved in order to ensure the safety of personnel, property, and the environment. SIL is determined by assessing the risk of the system or process and then assigning a level of safety that is appropriate for that risk. SIL is typically expressed as a number from 1 to 4, with 1 being the lowest level of safety and 4 being the highest. SIL 2 is the second highest level of safety and is usually associated with systems or processes that require a higher level of safety than SIL 1. SIL 2 systems or processes must be designed, implemented, and maintained in such a way that the risk of harm to personnel, property, and the environment is minimized. SIL 2 systems or processes must also be regularly monitored and tested to ensure that they are functioning as intended.
