Smart Meter
Most of us are familiar with the common energy meter that measures the amount of electricity used in a home or business. A smart meter is an upgrade to this tradition meter. This new type of meter uses two-way communication to send information about your electricity usage back to the utility company so they can send you accurate bills. The other big advantage to having a smart meter is that the customer can access their own consumption data, which can help them manage and save on their usage.
