Switchgear (Swgr)

The term switchgear is used to describe the combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment.

Switchgear (Swgr) refers to an assembly of electrical disconnects, fuses, and/or circuit breakers used to control, protect, and isolate electrical equipment. Switchgear is used both to de-energize equipment before performing maintenance and to clear faults downstream.
