Switchgear (Swgr)
The term switchgear is used to describe the combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment.
Switchgear is an important part of any electrical system as it ensures that circuits are only energized when needed and protects against dangerous faults. Switchgear (Swgr) refers to an assembly of electrical disconnects, fuses, and/or circuit breakers used to control, protect, and isolate electrical equipment. Switchgear is used both to de-energize equipment before performing maintenance and to clear faults downstream.
