Variable Speed Drive

A Variable Speed Drive (VSD) is a device used to control the speed of a motor by varying the frequency of the power supply. This type of drive is commonly used in industrial applications, such as conveyor belts, pumps, and fans, to adjust the speed of the motor to match the load requirements. By varying the frequency of the power supply, the motor speed can be increased or decreased as needed. VSDs are also used in some residential applications, such as ceiling fans, to provide a range of speeds for the user to choose from. VSDs are a great way to save energy, as they can reduce the amount of energy used by the motor when it is running at a lower speed. Additionally, VSDs can reduce noise and vibration levels, as well as improve the efficiency of the motor.
