Water Coils

Water coils are a type of heat exchanger that are used to transfer thermal energy from one source to another. They are often used in heating and cooling applications, such as in HVAC systems, to cool and/or heat air or water. In a water coil, water, typically cold, is passed through metal pipes that are wrapped around coils. The coils, in turn, are connected to either a fan or a refrigerant, depending on the application. As the water passes through the coils, heat is transferred from the air or refrigerant to the water. This process is known as convection. The result is that the air or refrigerant is cooled or heated, while the water is warmed or cooled, depending on the application.
