Ductless Heat Unit
A ductless heat unit is a type of heating system that does not require the use of ducts to deliver heated air to a space. Instead, the unit consists of an outdoor compressor and an indoor air-handling unit that is mounted on the wall or ceiling. The air-handling unit is connected to the outdoor compressor by a conduit that houses the refrigerant line, power cable, and condensate drain. The air-handling unit contains an evaporator coil, fan, and filter, which work together to heat the air. The air is then circulated through the room via a fan. Ductless heat units are ideal for areas that are difficult to heat with traditional ducted systems, such as additions, sunrooms, and bonus rooms. They are also more energy efficient than traditional systems, since they do not require the use of ducts to deliver heated air. Additionally, they are quieter than traditional systems, since the compressor is located outside.
