Sprinkler Fire
Fire sprinkler systems are one of the most important investments for businesses, providing a crucial layer of protection against fires. But what is the official business definition? A sprinkler fire, or “automatic sprinkler system”, is defined as “a system constructed, installed and maintained in accordance with national and local standards, regulations and codes that automatically applies water when heat from a fire is detected.” In essence, an automatic sprinkler system consists of piping connected to a water supply and containing a series of valves and spray heads that deliver water to suppress a fire in its early stages. At their most basic level, fire sprinklers are designed to detect heat from a fire and immediately begin suppression activities, limiting the spread and severity of a blaze. They do this by releasing water when they sense a rise in temperature in the affected area.
