Suppression

The definition of suppression is the act of preventing something from being expressed or revealed. It is a way of controlling or limiting the spread of information or ideas, usually through the use of censorship or other forms of restriction. Suppression can be used to prevent the expression of certain ideas, beliefs, or feelings, as well as to prevent the dissemination of certain information. It can also be used to prevent certain activities from taking place, such as protests or demonstrations. Suppression can be used to protect people from harm, to protect public order, or to protect the interests of those in power. It can also be used to protect the interests of those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged. In some cases, suppression can be used to maintain a certain status quo, or to prevent the emergence of new ideas or movements. Ultimately, suppression is a way of controlling the flow of information and ideas, and can be used to protect or limit the rights of individuals.
