Active Chilled Beams

Active Chilled Beams (ACBs) are a type of HVAC system that utilizes air to cool and heat a space. They are an energy-efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional air conditioning systems. ACBs work by using a fan to draw in air from outside the building and pass it through a coil of pipes that are filled with chilled water. The air is then circulated through the building, cooling or heating the space as needed. The chilled water is then returned to the outside of the building, where it is cooled or heated depending on the temperature outside. This process is repeated continuously, providing a steady, comfortable temperature throughout the building. ACBs are particularly useful in large, open spaces, such as offices, schools, and hospitals, as they can provide a consistent temperature throughout the entire space. They are also more energy-efficient than traditional air conditioning systems, as they do not require as much energy to operate.
