An air handling unit (AHU) is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. An AHU intake draws in outside air, which is then filtered and directed through a coil or heat exchanger. The conditioned air is then delivered through ductwork to rooms or areas within the building.
An AHU can be a self-contained unit that is installed as part of the HVAC system, or it can be integrated into the ductwork of the building. AHUs are manufactured in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet the specific needs of each installation.
