Backdraft Damper

A backdraft damper is a device used to control the flow of air in a ventilation system. It is designed to prevent the reverse flow of air from entering the system, which can be caused by a sudden change in pressure or temperature. The damper is usually located in the exhaust duct of the ventilation system and is opened and closed by a motor or manual switch. When the damper is closed, it prevents air from entering the system, and when it is open, it allows air to pass through. Backdraft dampers are essential in maintaining a safe and efficient ventilation system, as they can help to reduce the risk of fires, smoke, and other hazards. They are also important in helping to maintain the desired temperature and humidity levels in a building.
