Backdraft Dampers

Backdraft dampers are an important component of a ventilation system, providing a critical function in controlling the flow of air. They are designed to prevent the backflow of air, gases, and other contaminants from entering a building or space. Backdraft dampers are typically installed in exhaust systems, such as kitchen exhausts, to prevent the buildup of hazardous gases. They also help to reduce the amount of energy used in ventilation systems, as they reduce the amount of air that needs to be exhausted. Backdraft dampers are usually made of metal, and are designed to open and close based on the pressure of the air flowing through them. When the pressure is low, the damper will open, allowing air to pass through. When the pressure is high, the damper will close, preventing the backflow of air. Backdraft dampers are an essential part of any ventilation system, as they help to keep the air clean and free of contaminants.
