Building Services Engineer

Building Services Engineer

A building services engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildings. These systems include heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, fire protection, plumbing, and power distribution.

The role of a building services engineer is to ensure that these systems are installed and maintained to meet the specific needs of the building and its occupants. In many cases, the building services engineer will be involved in the construction process from start to finish. In other cases, they may be brought in to provide expert advice or troubleshoot issues with existing systems.

Building services engineers must have a thorough understanding of how each system works independently and how it interacts with other systems within the building. They must also be able to identify potential problems and find solutions that are both effective and efficient.
