Carbon Dioxide (Co2)

Carbon Dioxide (Co2)

Carbon dioxide is a colorless, odorless gas that is formed when carbon-containing compounds are burned. It is one of the most important greenhouse gases, trapping heat in the atmosphere and contributing to global warming.

Carbon dioxide is produced by all animals when they breathe, and it is also emitted by many industrial processes. Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the air for photosynthesis, which helps to offset the greenhouse effect of this gas.
