EUI (Energy Use Intensity)
Energy Use Intensity (EUI): EUI is a metric used to measure the energy efficiency of buildings. It expresses the total amount of energy consumed over a given time period, relative to the building’s size or floor area. A lower EUI translates to greater energy efficiency, and means that less energy is required to effectively power and maintain a facility. The EUI metric can help facilities managers identify areas where energy consumption can be reduced, ultimately making their building more sustainable.
