Globe Valve

A globe valve is a type of valve used to regulate the flow of a liquid or gas. It is most commonly used in industrial applications, such as in pipelines, to control the flow of liquids or gases. Globe valves are typically used when precise control of the flow is required, such as in a pressure-reducing valve or a safety valve. The valve is composed of a cylindrical body, which contains a movable plug or disc. The plug or disc is connected to a stem, which is operated by a handwheel or lever. When the handwheel or lever is turned, the plug or disc moves up or down, allowing more or less flow through the valve. The shape of the valve body gives it its name, as it resembles a globe. Globe valves are generally used for on-off or throttling control, and are not suitable for regulating the flow of fluids over a wide range of flow rates.
