BMS Controls Glossary

Louver

A louver is a window or door feature that consists of a series of angled slats that are designed to control the amount of light, air, and/or sound that enters a building. Louvers are commonly used in both interior and exterior applications, such as windows, doors, shutters, and vents. Louvers can be fixed or adjustable, allowing the user to control the amount of air and light that enters the space. In addition to controlling air and light, louvers can also be used to create a decorative element in a space. Louvers come in a variety of materials, such as wood, metal, plastic, and composite, and can be customized to fit the style of any space. Louvers are a great way to add style and function to any building, and can be used to create a unique look that will stand out from the crowd.
