Mini-Splits

What is the definition of a mini-split? A mini-split is a type of air conditioning system that is used to cool or heat a single room or zone in a building. It is a type of ductless air conditioning system, meaning that it does not require ductwork to transfer the cooled or heated air from the unit. Mini-splits are also known as split ductless air conditioning systems, or more commonly, as ductless mini-splits. They are an increasingly popular choice for cooling and heating individual spaces, as they can be more efficient than traditional central heating and cooling systems. Mini-splits typically have two components, an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The indoor unit is the evaporator, which absorbs the heat from the room and passes it to the condenser, which is the outdoor unit. Mini-splits require only a small hole in the wall to connect the indoor and outdoor units. This makes them much easier to install than traditional central heating
