What is the definition of a mini-split? The outdoor unit is connected to the indoor unit using copper tubing, and is typically installed on the exterior wall of a building, usually on the roof. The indoor unit is then mounted high on an interior wall in the room or area that needs to be cooled or heated. This system also allows you to control individual zones, as each indoor unit can be connected to its own thermostat. This is great for keeping each room comfortable without wasting energy, as you aren’t cooling or heating areas that don’t need it. Overall, a mini
