Minisplit Heat Pumps

What is the definition of a minisplit heat pump? A minisplit heat pump is a type of air conditioner and/or heater that is installed without the need for any ductwork. This system utilizes an outdoor compressor unit and one or more indoor air handlers that are connected via copper tubing and electrical wiring, enabling the transfer of heat from one place to another. In the cooling mode, the outdoor unit takes heat from inside and pumps it outdoors, while in the heating mode, the outdoor unit takes heat from the outside air and pumps it indoors. Minisplit heat pumps are generally more efficient and quieter than traditional forced-air systems, and can be used in both residential and commercial buildings. They are also much easier to install, as the ductwork is not necessary, and they are often much more affordable than other types of heating and cooling systems. Minisplit heat pumps are becoming increasingly popular due to their efficiency and relatively low upfront cost.
