Pressure Independent Control Valves (Picv)

Pressure Independent Control Valves (Picv)

A pressure independent control valve (PICV) is a device used to regulate the flow of water in a hydronic heating or cooling system. Unlike a conventional control valve, a PICV does not rely on system pressure to function properly. This makes them ideal for use in systems where changes in system pressure are common, such as those that use variable speed pumps. PICVs are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit different hydronic systems. They can be Manual or Automatic operating, and can be fitted with various accessories such as temperature sensors and flow meters.
