Water Source Heat Pump Water Heater

Water source heat pump water heaters are a type of energy efficient water heating system. They use heat pumps to take heat from the surrounding air or ground, and transfer it into the water, allowing for a more efficient way to heat water than traditional electric or gas water heaters. Heat pumps are able to transfer more energy than they use, meaning they can be up to three times more energy efficient than gas or electric water heaters. The main advantage of a water source heat pump water heater is the ability to gain energy from a free and renewable source of energy, such as air or ground. This is because the heat pump takes energy in the form of heat and transfers it, rather than converting it into electrical energy like a traditional water heater. Additionally, water source heat pump water heaters tend to be quieter than traditional water heaters. As the heat pump draws energy from the surrounding air or ground it can operate at a lower temperature and with a lower sound level than a traditional water heater
