8 Pillars Of Tpm

The 8 Pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a system of maintenance that focuses on increasing the overall efficiency of a production system. It is a holistic approach to maintenance that looks at the entire production system, including equipment, processes, people, and the environment. The 8 Pillars of TPM are designed to help reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve quality. The 8 Pillars of TPM are: Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Quality Maintenance, Early Equipment Management, Education and Training, Office TPM, Safety, Health and Environment, and Administrative and Management.

Autonomous Maintenance is the practice of giving operators responsibility for their own equipment and processes. This encourages operators to take ownership of their work and encourages them to identify and fix problems as they arise. Planned Maintenance is the practice of scheduling regular maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment is in good working order. Quality Maintenance is the practice of using data to identify and fix quality issues before they become a problem. Early Equipment Management is the practice of using data to identify and address potential problems before they become an issue. Education and Training is the practice of providing operators with the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain their equipment and processes. Office TPM is the practice of applying TPM principles to office workflows. Safety, Health and Environment is the practice of implementing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Administrative and Management is the practice of providing management support and guidance to ensure that TPM is implemented correctly.

By implementing the 8 Pillars of TPM, organizations can improve their production system and reduce costs. It is a comprehensive system that looks at the entire production system, from equipment to processes to people, and helps to ensure that the system is running efficiently and safely.
