Air Vent Dampers

Air vent dampers are an important component of a home’s HVAC system. They are designed to regulate the amount of air that flows through the ventilation system, allowing for better temperature control and energy efficiency. Dampers are typically made of metal and are installed in the ductwork of a home’s HVAC system. They are either manually operated or electronically controlled, depending on the system. Manually operated dampers are opened and closed with a lever or handle, while electronically controlled dampers are opened and closed with a switch or thermostat. When the damper is open, air is allowed to flow freely through the ventilation system. When the damper is closed, air is prevented from entering the system. Air vent dampers are essential for controlling the temperature of a home, as they allow for the efficient distribution of air throughout the home. They also help to reduce energy costs by ensuring that the HVAC system is not overworking itself.
