Hard Services In Facility Management

Hard services in facility management are the tangible services that are provided to maintain and operate a facility. These services are typically divided into two categories: preventive and corrective. Preventive services are those that are performed on a regular basis to prevent a breakdown or failure of the facility. Examples of preventive services include regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Corrective services are those that are performed after a breakdown or failure has occurred. Examples of corrective services include emergency repairs, replacements, and upgrades. Both preventive and corrective services are necessary to ensure the facility is functioning properly and safely. Facility managers are responsible for overseeing and managing the hard services that are provided to maintain and operate a facility. They must ensure that all services are performed in a timely manner and that the facility is in good condition.
