Input / Output
The definition of an input/output (I/O) is the process of sending data from a computer or other device to another device or computer for further processing. It is the process of exchanging information between two different systems. Input/output can be done in a variety of ways, such as through a keyboard, mouse, or other peripheral device. Output is the result of a process that takes the input data and produces an output. Output can be a physical product, such as a printed document, or a digital product, such as a file or an image. Output can also be a signal, such as an audio or video signal, or a response from a program. Input/output is an essential part of any computer system, as it is the process of exchanging data between different components. Without input/output, computers would be unable to communicate with each other or process data. Input/output is used in a variety of applications, from gaming to business to medical.
