Air Handler

An air handler, also known as an air handling unit, is a critical component of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. It is responsible for circulating air throughout a building, as well as controlling the temperature, humidity, and air quality. An air handler is typically a large metal box containing a blower, heating and/or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers. The air handler is connected to a ductwork system that distributes the conditioned air through the building and returns it to the air handler. It is typically located in the attic, basement, or a closet. The air handler is responsible for providing the correct amount of air to each room, as well as controlling the temperature, humidity, and air quality. It is important to ensure that the air handler is regularly maintained and serviced to ensure that it is operating at peak efficiency. Regular maintenance will help to reduce energy costs and extend the life of the system.
