Barometric Dampers Hvac

A barometric damper is an important component of an HVAC system. It is a device that is used to regulate the amount of air flow within the system. It works by controlling the pressure within the system, which helps to maintain the desired temperature. The barometric damper is typically located at the end of the ductwork, near the furnace or air handler. It works by using a spring-loaded diaphragm that opens and closes to adjust the pressure. When the pressure is too high, the diaphragm opens to allow more air to flow through the system. When the pressure is too low, the diaphragm closes to reduce the amount of air flow. This helps to maintain the desired temperature in the space. Barometric dampers are essential for proper operation of an HVAC system, as they help to regulate the air flow and maintain the desired temperature.
